The cost of a funeral

The cost of a funeral can vary significantly and quite simply no two funerals are the same.

Alfred James doesn’t offer funeral packages. Instead we talk to you about the kind of funeral you’d like for your loved one, and we create a fully itemised and transparent quote, provided over the phone, by email or sent by post.

Unfortunately many of the funeral packages don’t include everything, so people get a nasty surprise when the final bill arrives. We are completely upfront about all of the costs you can expect and include everything within the quote.

We do not require a deposit prior to the funeral. We will send an itemised account approximately one week after the funeral, with a 30-day payment period.
