Our values

At Alfred James we believe that every life is precious and should be honoured. But we also know that the death of a loved one is an emotional and difficult time for families.

The important principles that have been upheld by all four generations – Alfred, Murray, Nelson and now Graham – are a kindness and deep understanding for those who suffered the loss of someone they loved. Today these principles are still the basis of Alfred James and everyone who works for us.

We are at all times respectful and ensure the dignity of the deceased is retained. We act with complete integrity and are there to help you honour the life of your loved one.

Trust

We are there at a time that is emotional, stressful and difficult. It’s a responsibility we take very seriously and we are trusted to provide the right information, support and care for families planning a funeral.

Local

We have always been a South Australian owned and operated business and our 7 locations allow for local service within Adelaide. We have also consistently supported and given back to the local community through charitable activities and sponsorships.
