DURDIN, Dorothy Joan

The family and friends of the late Miss Dorothy Joan Durdin are advised that a Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at Church of the Holy Innocents, corner of Sheoak Road and Serpentine Road, Belair on Thursday, February 27, at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of floral tributes, a donation to the Royal Adelaide Hospital Research Fund would be appreciated. Envelopes will be available at the Church.

Death Notice

DURDIN, Dorothy Joan

(Dorothy) Joan Durdin
passed away peacefully on
12th February 2025
at the age of 102.

Joan was the last of a generation,
predeceased by her beloved
Brother Ron and Sisters Pat,
Eleanor and Anne and was
the much loved Aunt to her
seven Nieces and Nephews
and their extended families.
She was also loved by her
many friends.

Her life was dedicated to
others through her lifelong
career in nursing, especially
Nursing Education, for which
she was appointed a Member
of the Order of Australia (AM)
and received the Medal for
the Order of Australia (OAM).
She was also awarded an
Honorary Doctorate from
Flinders University of
South Australia.
